The primordial image of a sheltered space in architecture is a roof. Stemming from this key suggestion, our proposed project aims to create a refuge from vulnerabilities for the future guests of Moshi’s nursery, hopefully giving them back a warmer sense of protection and safety, whileproviding a bright, playful and comfortable built environment. To achievethese goals, a recognizable inclusive large roof (known as Paa in Swahili) welcomes underneath spaces for playing and learning.
